For Aesop’s store in Boston, CHH created a faceted, cave-like space with natural red matting, steel display and storage volumes, and plaster walls punctured with red velvet-padded doors. Subtle homages to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Henry Davis Sleeper’s “Beauport,” in nearby Gloucester, are embedded within this richly-detailed series of rooms, which are captivatingly still upon entry off of bustling Newbury Street.
