Charlap Hyman & Herrero’s chairs, Leora and Alexandra, presented at The Future Perfect, are part plant, part vessel, and part seat. Leora features a palm frond pulled from the garden of CHH's Los Angeles office, and Alexandra a deli rose purchased near their New York office; each emerges from the hollow back legs of the chairs, presenting pieces of the places that are so integral to the firm’s practice. One preserved and one dried, the pair form a kind of functional memento mori.
