For an exhibition curated for Platform, In Ruins, CHH imagined a virtual gallery to display the works. In homage to Robert Winthrop Chanler’s bronze and plasterwork fireplace and ceiling within the 1917 studio of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, the interior of the cast concrete walls are textured with a flame motif.

In Ruins brings together works across ten mediums by eleven artists, including Robert Winthrop Chanler, James Wines, Miroslav Tichý, Sterling Ruby, Carlo Mollino, Enzo Mari, Richard Serra, Alessandro Sanquirico, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Emilio Terry, and Seth Cameron. The show speaks to the sensation of moving forwards and backwards at the same time.
