CHH placed a variety of works from In Ruins, a show curated for Platform, in the 1917 studio of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney at the New York Studio School. On the mantle of the bronze and plasterwork fireplace by Robert Winthrop Chanler sits “The Carpenter”, a sumi ink painting by Seth Cameron.

In Ruins brings together works across ten mediums by eleven artists, including Robert Winthrop Chanler, James Wines, Miroslav Tichý, Sterling Ruby, Carlo Mollino, Enzo Mari, Richard Serra, Alessandro Sanquirico, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Emilio Terry, and Seth Cameron. The show speaks to the sensation of moving forwards and backwards at the same time.
