A renovation of a Victorian townhouse on the Upper West Side, in collaboration with architect Elsa Arsenault, for a young family and their trove of mid-century French furniture and contemporary art. The house, having been converted into four apartments, was turned back into a private home and reconfigured to suit the needs of clients who entertain frequently but also desired calm, intimate spaces for family-time. Distilling the architectural language, material palette, and furniture arrangements, CHH created crisp but warm compositions that allow the art and furniture to sing.
