For Objects for a Heavenly Cave, curated by Krista Mileva-Frank at Marta, CHH designed a suite of lighting fastened from nautilus shells shown in a red "grotto". A table lamp, torchiere, pendant, and sconces, made with a process that combines precision industrial fabrication and hand wrought metalwork in service of extraordinary real nautilus shell shades - an homage to the shell lamps created by Louis Comfort Tiffany and his poetic exploration of naturally occurring iridescence. Clasped in delicate steel settings atop thin reflective tubes, like the legs of Richard Neutra's piano, the shells glow.
