For luxury handbag company MZ Wallace, CHH created a flagship store in a former industrial loft in New York’s SOHO. A bespoke digital marble pattern swirls and bends symmetrically along a central axis, printed onto carpet, wallpaper and curtains. The space is dotted with crumpled metallic plinths that present the bags, custom works by the artist Shun Kinoshita. One wall, with brick exposed, displays a rotating selection of artworks. Oval mirrors that appear to float on the curtains, a swooping carpet-clad desk, and a jagged mirrored “cave” at the very back of the store, are compelling focal points in a shopper’s circulation throughout the space.
