Charlap Hyman & Herrero's exhibition for the Future Perfect in New York, Figures in an Interior, explores all-over pattern and unmediated color - an homage to a painting of the same name by Édouard Vuillard. An extensive collection of one-of-a-kind pillows fastened from Japanese kimonos and French tapestries dot the space, some held in Chris Wolston's Wicker Hands wall sculpture. The Landscape Lantern, a custom commission handpainted by the artist Pilar Almon, hangs above.
