"Walking into an appointment at Rosetta Getty’s Manhattan showroom, everything was covered in plastic. It took a second to realize that they weren’t in the middle of a move, or a renovation, but this was in fact the set for the new collection. Groovy space-age furniture, candlesticks, and are those some Twomblys underneath it all? All were part of a collaboration with the architectural firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero, arranged after Getty had encountered their work at a nearby Chelsea Gallery. Was it meant as a statement on the way our lives have been put on hold for the last two years and now everyone’s ready to take the covers off and live life to the fullest again?"
