A cruciform house designed by SO-IL and Carl Shenton, with landscape design by Patrick Cullina, and interiors by CHH, sits on the hilly cliffs of Long Island’s North Fork. Built for two filmmakers and their young family, CHH worked closely with the clients and SO-IL to create a compelling mix of antique and contemporary furnishings that enhance the clarity of this unique and beautiful structure. Large swaths of carpet in natural tones connect the interior spaces to the landscape beyond and generous arrangements of wicker furniture from different periods draw a link between the grasses surrounding the house and the inside.
